Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Charles W. Morgan was an American whaling ship during the 19th and early 20th century. Ships of this type usually harvested the blubber of whales for whale oil, which was commonly used in lamps. The ship is an exhibit at the Mystic Seaport museum in Mystic, Connecticut, and is the world's oldest surviving merchant vessel.In 2010 Mystic Seaport was engaged in a multi-million dollar restoration, intended to restore the ship to seaworthy status.During the summer of 2014 the Morgan sailed its 38th voyage on tour of New England seaports which included New London, Newport, Boston and her home town of New Bedford.
I have always been fascinated by the visual impact that comes from the works of the Masters. The Masters being, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Vermeer as well as David Leffel, a current living master, have all been an inspiration to the development of my oil paintings.
