Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
The historic whale ship Charles W. Morgan departs the seaport of Mystic, CT, setting sail for the first time in over 70 years. Built in 1841, this is the Morgan's 38th voyage. Crowds came from all around to view the spectacle as a parade of sailing vessels and smaller craft escorted the Morgan out of the Mystic River on Saturday the 17th of May, 2014. The Morgan is the only surviving wooden whaling ship from the 19th century American whaling fleet. Her home port is the Mystic Seaport in Mystic, Connecticut.
